Look I am not into horoscopes, but Scorpios are water babies, so humor me, ok?
Anyway, I use simply baby oil, or light mineral oil after drying off. Then I use a good lotion and apply it to my body. I use a light cocoa butter cream to my face. Soon we will not be able to hide the waistline under layers of sweaters and coats. So let's get started to eating healthier and lighter meals. "Soup and sandwich" or "salad and sandwich" are both great places to start. A luscious bowl of soup and a leafy salad are always a filling lunch. Spring salad can be found already mixed in the vegetable aisle and you can always add either some green, red, or yellow peppers for a little more color. Use whatever salad dressing that "perks" up your taste buds. What a refreshing lunch!!!And it is so healthy. If any of you have any ideas on ways to eat healthy, send them to me via Facebook. Looking forward to hearing from you. Ok?? So eat healthy and "BE BLESSED"!!

Fresh Air

Hello friends!!!
I know that some of you thought that I had forgotten about you, but 2010 was a year to remember for a lot of us. We all learned so much about our bodies and what it takes to stay healthy. Here is one for the books that works and it is called "FRESH AIR".
Every morning I open the door to my patio and take in deep breaths of "FRESH AIR". It invigorates one and is such a great way to start the day. It seems to put aside the things that were disturbing to us the day before and bring into perspective the dawn of the new day ahead. Try this on for size. Make yourself a refreshing cup of hot cinnamon tea and drink it slowly as you enjoy the "FRESH AIR" and the start of a brand new day. You may also take this time for your morning meditation. If mornings are too much for you, take a moment before you retire to your bed at night , breathe the "FRESH AIR" and enjoy a nice cup of cinnamon tea. We diabetics know that cinnamon helps to keep the blood sugar level. So whatever and whenever, take time for yourself and enjoy the "FRESH AIR". See ya' soon!!! We will drink tea, cola. juice and anything else but diabetics need water. You don't have to flood yourself, just drink the required amount and maybe sometimes a little more. If you don't like plain water, then cut up a lemon or a lime or if you are in the mood purchase flavored water. This most definitely holds true for the "silent killer" diabetes. This disease leads to other major problems with internal organs, eye functions and circulation. When I was first released from the hospital, I had major problems with my eyesight. So I went to my specialist who promptly did an eye examination and let me know that as the blood sugar leveled out, so would my eyesight get better. Someone emailed me a list of herbs and on this list was the herb bilberry. I went online to find out about this herb that had been around for centuries. I then went to the health food store and spoke with an herbal specialist there. I proceeded to buy the liquid form because I felt that it would be the most helpful for me. This herb really does help with eye function and circulation. Being a writer, I must be at my computer many hours of the day to compose my articles. So I do not want or need problems with numbness or my eyesight. Follow the suggested usage on the bottle. I mix it with my cinnamon tea and take it three times a day. For me, it really does work.

"CINNAMON" The True Spice of Life

I didn't believe it when people were telling me, so I tried it for myself. Cinnamon really does work to lower the blood sugar level!! I make myself a tea in the morning and as many times during the day that I want. Buy the inexpensive kind, from whatever bargain store that is nearby, it works just fine. I use 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon to 1 cup of water and heat it in the microwave. Now, I do not add sweetner just because I like the taste of cinnamon but you can add sweetner if you choose. It gives me energy in the morning and relaxes me at night. All this was brought on by the onset of diabetes. I spent many sleepless nights unsure of what was going on with my body. I tried to self-medicate by using various OTC treatments to no avail. I began to feel as though my life was spiraling out downward and out of control. I thought I knew about diabetes but I soon learned that I was wrong. Though several family members suffered from this, I never thought it would happen to me. I finally went to my physician who checked my blood sugar which turned out to be almost 400 and my A1C was 15.6 which was off the charts!!! He immediately hospitalized me. Since that diagnosis, I have struggled to find resources that I could clearly understand. It is my goal, through this site, to help other women who find themselves in a similar situation.

Contact Us

We welcome your viewpoints, comments, and questions.
